Chocolate makes everything better

Chloe came up to me crying yesterday.  I asked her what was wrong.  She said "I don't know, but I think a piece of chrocate (chocolate) will make me better."

How can I argue with that?

Chloe: I have a nightlight, but Poppa turns it off after I go to sleep to save money.

This morning Chloe said to me "Mom, I went and grew up on you." Then she blinked her eyes dramatically and said "in the blink of an eye. Right Mom?"
 -Then-
This afternoon Chloe said to me "Mom, ants don't talk, they munnicate (communicate)".
-Then-
This evening Doug and I were discussing a supplement I recently starting taking called Curcumin. Chloe said "hey, I am a hur-human!"

Just a fun day with a funny little girl :)

Hey Doug, remember when we used to sleep in on the weekends?!?!?!?

Namesake

Hazel Leah was named after my Grandma English (my Pop's Mom).  She passed away two months after I was born, so I never got to know her.  We always referred to her as "Grandma Pillow". Apparently she was so soft and cuddly and the other grandchildren loved snuggling on her belly.  Grandma Hazel Louise is the the second little girl on the left, next to the baby girl, who is sitting up.  I was not aware of this, but her older sister on the right end of the photo was named Leah.
This is a photo of my Pop's siblings in a one room school house.  His sister's name is also Hazel.  She is the little girl in the front row on the right.  His sister Jan is sitting next to her and his brother William is sitting in the second row on the left side of the photo.

Trot The Trail

My first official runner's number.  I ran my first organized race yesterday morning!  It was a 10 mile event and YES I did make it to the finish line.  I am feeling proud of myself and a little sore today, but ready to continue my training for the upcoming 500 Festival half Marathon.
