Around June 1st I found a dining room table and chairs on Craigslist for sale in the Brownsburg area. I headed over to check it out and decided to buy them. Later that day my brother, Ira helped me out with providing a truck and some muscles to get the table and chairs to their new home. Ira thought it would be nice to take the scenic route, so we did. On that fateful drive, we passed by a house for sale, that caught my eye. Later that evening I said to Doug "hey, let's dream a little and go take a peek at this house I saw today". Doug grabbed up the girls and went directly to the car (which was kind of odd in hindsight). We drove to the house, not really speaking a word to each other. Doug drove right up in the driveway to the front of the house! I said to him "what are you doing?!?! You can't just drive up there, you have to get an appointment with a realtor!" He didn't seem to hear me, or care. He got out of the car and walked to the front door, no one answered and Doug just stood there (I swear he was on autopilot or something). A man walked around the corner of the house and up to Doug and said "what do you kids want?". Doug told him that we liked his home. He invited us in and we politely declined (of course we were busting at the seams to see the inside). He urged us to come in and see the house, and since he "twisted our arms", we did. We instantly fell in love with the house. The owner asked us where we lived and if our house was for sale. We told him that we weren't really looking to buy a house and no, our house was not for sale..... or so we thought. He asked us to send him some photos of our home, because they are looking to downsize. I told him we didn't think he would be interested in our home, but we would send him some photos if he wished. So..........to make a long story kind of short, they loved our house. Five short weeks later they bought our house and we bought their house! We traded homes, furniture, lawnmowers, and they even left their dog Lulu. She is an old girl and is pretty settled in her ways. We both agreed that it wouldn't be right to make her leave her home, besides the neighbors across the street cook her Belgian waffles, eggs, and toast every morning............seriously!
So, we went from a 1,300 square foot home on 1/2 an acre of land to a 6,000 square foot home on 13.5 acres of land.
Chloe and Hazel's favorite place to hang out. We eat breakfast in the gazebo most mornings.

Our little gal's bedroom. Just so you can get an idea of the size of the room, that is a queen bed in the corner! We had a twin bed in their room at the other house and it took up over half of the room. So, yes, they are loving their new room.

Which is hilarious, because we have not had a television in our home for over three years, so needless to say our DVD collection is not very impressive.
