More photos of our cutie

Silly Baby Girl

Chloe's first official dip in the pool

She's not looking at the camera in this one, but I had to post it, because she looks so cute in her bathing suit.
Mamaw and Paw are singing their favorite Beatles song to Chloe in this photo.  It goes something like:  "Oh whoa, I should of known better with a girl like you, that I would love everything that you do, and I do, yes I do, Hey, Hey Hey, and when I tell you that I love you, oh, your gonna say you love me tooooooo, oh".

We went to the Aquatic Center on Saturday.  It was Chloe's first time in a swimming pool (well, I actually put her in Mom and Pop's pool last summer, but she was so tiny, probably just a few weeks old).  It took her a while to warm up to the idea, but in no time she was floating on her back and splashing around.

Peek-a-boo

Chloe is 8 months old today!  She started crawling this week.  She has been trying for awhile, but she has definitely got it down now.  She also is standing up on her own.  She stood for a good ten seconds last night without any help from Poppa.  She loves to hold on to the ottoman and drop her toys, then bend over and pick them up.  She is so proud of herself when she does this, she screams and flaps her arms.

I see a kitchen in our future!!!!

Oh Yeah!!!  Doug and Pop got this whole truckload of wood for 60 bucks. We are working on the plans for our new kitchen.  It is going to be a huge remodeling job since we are moving the kitchen to a totally different room.  Doug is going to build the cabinets out of oak and poplar.  Now that we have all this wood, the counter-tops may be made out of wood too.  It is going to be awesome!

We love Saturday Mornings

Every Saturday morning we (by we, I mean Doug and I, because Chloe rolls around and crawls all over us) lay in bed and play with Chloe.  It is a perfect opportunity to get some photos of Poppa and baby together.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love to make cheesecake.  This is a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake that I threw together for a poker party that we went to recently. It was decadently delicious and very rich.  It was hard to consume an entire piece without getting a major "cheesecake high".

Yum Yum Mamaw
