Chip off the old block

Chloe trying out her best chipmunk face
Last spring we noticed that we had a little chipmunk hanging out on our back deck in the morning.  Chloe was very interested in this little guy and talked about him often, especially at night, right before she would fall asleep.  We would discuss how he was probably curling up next to his babies and keeping them warm for the night.  She would usually fall asleep right after that.  So, he is back this spring (maybe not the same chipmunk, maybe it is, who knows).  We have been putting sunflower seeds and sesame seeds out for him for a few weeks.  He will come up to our sliding glass door and fill his cheeks.  Chloe sits there every morning and eats breakfast while Chip (she named him) gathers seeds.  This evening she put a large pile of sesame seeds out for Chip and later decided that she would lick her face and then stick it into the sesame seeds.  She came in the kitchen laughing hysterically. She was pretending to be a chipmunk.  Check out the seeds stuck in her nose!
