A typical evening at our house

This is kind of long, but I thought I would post a video of a typical evening at our house.  We spend the majority of our time playing with our daughter.  I love love love the way Doug plays with her.  I have been trying to catch more of our life on video.  I think Miss Chloe will enjoy watching it when she gets older.  I know I always wished my parents would have had a video camera, so I could see what I was like when I was a little booger.  Sorry about the video quality, our house is dark, and our video camera isn't the best.

Yay doors!

Doug and Pop hung the upper doors on the upper cabinets over a week ago, but I have been blog lazy, so I am just now getting the photos posted.  Don't get me wrong, I am super excited about the doors! I had to dust off the vases and get them to their new home immediately (unfortunately they will be making a quick trip back to the boxes when it is time to sand the floor)  I think they look amazing.  I am beyond proud of my hubby. He is quite the woodworker. I have been begging him to bring in the new stainless steel stove and fridge, but much to my dismay, we have to wait .  Doug has been busy planing the wood for the floor and getting the final polyurethane coat on the bottom doors, drawers, island, and bathroom and garage doors. We are getting so close.........to being close.......to being done!

Upper Cabinets Installed!

This photo is a kind of blurry, but I still think it is cute the way she has her legs crossed and her cute little smile.  I haven't had much time to blog lately.  We have been pretty busy with the kitchen remodeling and I am in the last semester of my Master's degree program, so I have been hitting the books and writing papers like mad.  Of course playing with Miss Chloe consumes most of my time, which I would chose over anything, any day.  Last night I was dancing her to sleep, like we do every night.  Thank goodness for Pandora.  What would we do without it?  When she gets tired she says radio, radio, and we know it is time to go night-night.  Anyway, I was dancing her to sleep, she was laying on my shoulder, and she picked her head up, with her eyes closed, placed her little hands on my cheeks and gave me the softest kiss.  She then laid her head back down on my shoulder and went to sleep.  I felt my eyes well up with tears and one small tear ran down my cheek.  It is moments like this that I live for. I held her tight and danced with her a little longer than usual last night, just cherishing that moment in time.  This little girl is a dream come true for us.  It just gets better and better everyday.

Get it while you can!

Mamaw got this outfit for Miss Chloe earlier this summer.  I thought that I should try to grab a photo of her wearing it, while it still fits.

More Before and After photos

Here some photos that I posted previously of the old kitchen and back living room.  We thought we should revisit them, to show the difference.
I took these today. I thought they were a little better than the photos I posted yesterday.

You think I'm pretty without any makeup on, You think I'm funny when I tell the punchline wrong, You really get me, So I let my walls come down!!!!

Before these walls divided the living room from the kitchen........not anymore

Yes, we know the house is a wreck! Chloe has to have all of her toys out during the remodel.
We are still working night and day on our house.  We  finally got the drywall work done, HALLELUJAH! We painted this past weekend.  I know, the green is crazy, but hey, what do you expect, right?  The house feels huge to us and Chloe runs all around like the the little wild woman she is.  We will be applying polyurethane to the cabinets this week and getting some of those bad-boys up on the walls.  It has been a long haul, but we are getting very close to having a new kitchen.  The last big project is going to be the new wood floor.  Of course, Doug is planing all the wood himself (NUTS), so we might be living on sub-floor for awhile.

Oh, and sorry about the super-cheezy title. I just could not help myself :)

Not too shabby

Chloe has been very interested in the camera lately.  She holds up her babydolls for me to take a picture, then runs over to see the LCD screen and points and squeals and then runs back over, picks up her baby for another shot.  Last night we were playing around with the camera and I snapped this pic.  I think it turned out pretty good for a "selfie".
